Honda Stage Joins STAR Primetime Series on FOX

Through its Honda Stage music program, Honda is partnering with FOX to promote the network’s new musical drama series STAR.

The show, which will air Wednesday nights at 9, will feature original music and performances as it tells the story of three young singers trying to work their way to the top of the industry. Honda Stage will play a role in the show through both unique digital content and an actual on-air presence.

In the first season, the singers will start their quest for fame by performing on the Honda Stage of a fictional Atlanta music festival, in a plot point based on the real-life Honda Stage at Music Midtown in Atlanta. (It’s a real case of “art imitating life… as paid for by life”).

Honda is also producing the behind-the-scenes “Making A Dream” video series about the show’s production. The first episode features interviews with STAR stars Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, and Brittany O’Grady:

Honda is also going to produce a special episode of its “UNCHARTED” digital series which focuses on STAR co-creator and executive producer Lee Daniels (Precious, The Butler). The episode will highlight Daniel’s own unconventional rise to artistic and commercial success, and how he has captured the power of music in storytelling.

Furthermore, Honda is celebrating the first season of STAR with a special fan-focused Honda Stage concert event on March 14th at the iHeartRadio Theatre in Los Angeles. The show will feature a performance by Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, and Brittany O’Grady, along with fancy red carpet arrivals and a chance for fans in attendance to meet the show’s creators, influencers, and performers. Performances from the evening will be filmed and shared on FOX and STAR channels for fans who are not able to attend the LA event in person.
