When it comes to cars, Kelley Blue Book knows its stuff, so when it recognizes a car as one of the best, it can be a pretty big deal. When it recognizes two different models from the same brand, it’s an even bigger deal. KBB.com, Kelley Blue Book’s website, recently listed the 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid and the 2014 Honda Civic Natural Gas on their 10 Best Green Cars list, the annual breakdown of the greenest cars in the industry. Such recognition pushed Honda a step ahead in the move towards eco-friendly vehicles.

Both of these vehicles excelled in KBB.com testing. The Accord Hybrid’s excellent handling skills impressed KBB.com editors, while the sedan’s EPA-estimated 50 mpg city fuel economy left a lasting impact. Editors were also impressed with the Civic Natural Gas’s use of clean-burning fuel, which has a combined EPA fuel economy of 31 mpg, saving up to 40% in estimated fuel costs compared to a gasoline-powered car.

“For customers looking to purchase vehicles that have low CO2 emissions, Honda has two great options on KBB.com’s list—the fun-to-drive, fuel efficient Accord Hybrid and the Civic Natural Gas powered without a drop of gasoline,” said Steven Center, vice president of the Environmental Business Development Office at American Honda Co., Inc. “This recognition from Kelley Blue Book validates the efforts of Honda engineers who for decades have continued to work towards out goal to leave ‘Blue Skies for our Children.’”
