Ford is offering its fans a valuable opportunity to get a never-before-possible look Ford’s globe-trotting adventures. Through the use of a downloadable application for iOS and Android in the United States, Ford is giving fans a 360-degree look at its performance feats and motor racing legacy.

The FordVR app just launched less than two weeks ago and is already getting positive feedback from users who rave about how much better it is than watching videos the old-fashioned way.
Although its current selection of stories–focusing on the new GT race car competing at the 24 Hours of Le Mans–is limited, Ford promises to release more content in the future than just spotlights on performance vehicles. “We are very excited about this opportunity to provide truly immersive experiences that showcase the best of Ford Motor Company,” says Lisa Schoder, Ford digital marketing manager. “Our virtual reality platform allows us to tell dramatic, impactful stories, to show a surprising side of Ford.”
The E-rated, family-friendly app is free through the Google Play store for Android users and the iTunes App Store for iOS. It’s compatible with a VR headset but not required. The app is a step forward for Ford, who aims to improve its digital and mobile presence through cutting-edge user experience developments.
