Hyundai premiered the performance-based model during the 2018 Paris Motor Show media preview

The 2018 Paris Motor Show is slated for Oct 4-14 this year, with many automakers bringing a large collection of innovative electric versions of preexisting models as well as a variety of thought-provoking concepts. However, the media preview has already provided a plethora of exciting updates, including the introduction of the Hyundai i30 N ‘N Option’ performance show car.

You Like Us, You Really Like Us! Hyundai named a top brand by J.D. Power

Hyundai Motor presented the vehicle, based on the recently unveiled Europe-only i30 N, by offering a glimpse of how the brand’s performance lineup could evolve in the future. With a selection of performance-based accessories available, the automaker is poised to provide plenty of customization features for driving enthusiasts who want to make their vehicle ultimately unique.

“With our N portfolio we are shaking up the competition, and bringing new performance and emotions for our customers. The development of our N vehicles is grounded in Motorsport and our engagement there is the pinnacle of N,” says Thomas Schemera, Executive Vice President High Performance Vehicles & Motorsport Division at Hyundai Motor Group. “The new i30 N Line and our i30 N ‘N Option’ show car illustrate our dual approach to customization, making N available to a wider audience.”

Inside the i30 N Option are black carbon accents on the dashboard and along the door handles and air vents. High-quality Alcantara, which can be found on the steering wheel’s bottom, is also available for the upper dashboard and the sport bucket seats. To round out the performance look, a dynamic-looking gear shift, sport pedals, and additional sporty accessories are included.

While we unfortunately won’t get to enjoy this exciting new vehicle from Hyundai here in America, we’re hoping some of these developments and design elements spill over to the brand’s U.S. lineup sometime in the future.
