Hyundai Is the Official Automotive Partner of the Texas Rangers
Hyundai’s official sponsorship of the Texas Rangers baseball team began the other night when the team played Oakland. The partnership will last five years, ending with the 2018 season. Hyundai feels that the sponsorship makes sense: just as Texas Ranger fans are among the most loyal in the world of baseball, so too are Hyundai owners the most loyal in the auto industry (tied with Ford), according to the BrandKeys 2014 Customer Loyalty Engagement Index.

“Hyundai’s sponsorship of the Texas Rangers is a great way for us to connect with some of baseball’s most loyal and dedicated fans,” commented Tom Hetrick, South Central Regional General Manager, Hyundai Motor America. “We’re excited to begin a long-standing relationship with the Texas Rangers, and continue our legacy of connecting with fans of high-profile sporting events.”
As part of the partnership, a 2015 Hyundai Genesis was recently placed atop the left field side roof of the Hyundai Club, along with a back-lit Hyundai logo that will light up every time the Rangers get a hit. The Hyundai Club is located where the former Batter’s Eye Club was, and now includes Hyundai signage on the metal railings, as well as HDTVs with the Hyundai logo. Even the stairs leading to the Club feature the logo.
“The Rangers are proud to be entering into this long-term sponsorship with Hyundai,” stated Rangers Sr. Vice President, Partnerships and Client Services, Jim Cochrane. “Globe Life Park in Arlington has an exciting new look with the rebranded Hyundai Club and we look forward to working with Hyundai now and in the future.”
Be sure to check out the rest of the 2014 season for the Rangers, and if you go see a home game, keep your eyes peeled for that Hyundai logo. Sounds like it will kind of be hard to miss.
