Hyundai Partners with ELLE UK to Promote the Kona via Fashion Photo Shoot
The brand-new Hyundai Kona compact crossover is intended to be a revolutionary addition to the automaker’s global lineup, taking the brand in a new direction to appeal to new customers. The brand has already partnered with Marvel Studios to promote the Kona with a one-of-a-kind Iron Man special edition model.
Now, Hyundai has made another promotional effort, collaborating with ELLE magazine to promote the Kona in the UK with a glamorous, female-empowered photo shoot.

To appeal the Kona to different interests and tastes, Hyundai staged three different photo sessions, each with a different fashion model and a different theme.
- Bold (model Sunghee Kim): Emphasizing the uninhibited attitude of the Kona.
- Modern (model Ilvie Wittek): Reflecting on the chic, sophisticated cultural appeal of the Kona.
- Active (model Najiyah Imani): Exhibiting the poise and strength of the Kona’s athleticism.
Each staging features a colorful, dynamic wardrobe as well as different body colors for the Kona: Tangerine Comet for “Bold,” Dark Knight for “Modern,” and Acid Yellow for “Active.”
Hyundai worked with ELLE UK to develop and present three different style personas. “The car you drive should say as much about your personal style as any other aspect of your lifestyle,” stated Michelle Duguid, ELLE Fashion Editor.
The Hyundai Kona will be arriving in the United States for the 2018 model year.
