The new Hyundai RN30 Concept could attract a lot of attention at the Paris Motor Show

Hyundai has promised to show more than just a teaser image of the RN30 Concept in Paris

The 2016 Paris Motor Show opens to the public starting October 1st. Up to this point, much of the hype leading up to the show has revolved around the new Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid and Mercedes-AMG GT Roadsters, but not to be outdone, Hyundai is bringing its own performance-oriented vehicle to the show in France.

Fact or Fiction: Has a new Mitsubishi crossover been confirmed already?

The Korean automaker will be showing the Hyundai RN30 Concept, which is based on the next-generation i30 hatchback. For those people who don’t already know, the i30 is scheduled to become the first vehicle to receive specialized treatment from the new Hyundai N Performance division.

In the teaser image released by the automaker, you can see the RN30 Concept will feature Hyundai’s hexagonal “Cascading grille,” large wheel arches, tilted headlights, bold foglights, a distinctive front splitter, and a humongous rear wing. In addition, Hyundai said this concept was created as a result of the collaboration between Hyundai Motor’s Performance Development & High Performance Vehicle Division, Hyundai Motorsport (HMSG), and Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Center (HMETC).

While Hyundai has yet to reveal what’s lurking underneath the hood, the company did mention that the Hyundai RN30 Concept will feature certain unique equipment that should make the car quite fun to drive. Also, while the RN30’s silhouette might look similar to the upcoming i30, the concept vehicle does feature a lower and wider stance, which should help it corner better at increased speeds, according to Hyundai.

The Hyundai RN30 Concept will officially be revealed to the media on September 29th.
