Hyundai Santa Fe and Accent Rank Highest in Residual Value Awards
A few years ago, Hyundai was an afterthought in the automotive market, but the Korean automaker has redesigned nearly its entire lineup and is now a force to be reckoned with. That fact was further evidenced when ALG, a subsidiary of TrueCar, released the winners of its 14th annual Residual Value Awards.
The Santa Fe Sport claimed the top spot in the midsize utility segment for the second consecutive year, and the Hyundai Accent finished above all challengers in the subcompact category. The ALG Residual Value Awards were created to honor vehicles that maintain the best value after a three-year ownership period, and they serve as a justification to Hyundai’s efforts to reinvigorate the brand.
“Hyundai is committed to becoming an industry leader in the areas of reliability, safety, design and cost of ownership, the primary components of value,” said Mike O’Brien, vice president of Product and Corporate Planning at Hyundai Motor America, in a press release. “Receiving these awards from ALG acknowledges this promise to customer satisfaction, and speaks to Hyundai’s incredible value for money.”
