Hyundai Santa Fe Nabs Cars.com Best Family Car Award

Although it’s not one of the top-selling Hyundai vehicles (which are, by and large, the Sonata and Elantra), the Santa Fe does have its share of devoted fans–mostly families.

Thus, it’s fitting that the 2014 Cars.com Best Family Car award went to the 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe.

Cars.com Best Family Car Award Goes to a Worthy Recipient

This year’s Lifestyle Awards results weren’t a surprise to most of us, including the Santa Fe’s second consecutive win at the Cars.com Best Family Car.

According to Cars.com, the renowned website that gave the Santa Fe its Best Family Car of the Year title, the vehicle fit all of the varying and stringent needs of the staff’s families exceptionally well.

If you’re familiar with what the Santa Fe offers, you surely agree with the judge’s decision. It offers a notable balance of refinement, practicality, luxury, sportiness, and affordability–not to mention Hyundai’s impressive signature warranty.

“In 2014, its smaller sibling, the Santa Fe Sport, was our Family Car of the Year,” said Kristin Varela of Cars.com. “This year, we chose the 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe because it fits big families like a glove and does so with style. It is full of family-friendly features, and all at a reasonable price.”

The improvements this year that nabbed the Santa Fe its accolade were the steering system, cargo space, and safety features.

“The 2015 Santa Fe has been upgraded to fit the active lifestyles of families, offering upgraded standard comfort and convenience equipment, raising the standards on the passenger experience for both the front and the back seat drivers,” said Michael O’Brien, vice president of corporate and product planning for Hyundai America.

To qualify for the Cars.com Best Family Car of the Year award, the Santa Fe was first designated a Best Bet, passing all IIHS safety crash test requirements and showing reliable gas mileage and handing. At that point, BlueLink technology, heated second-row seats, and an enlightening sunroof just sealed the deal.
