Hyundai really swept up the awards at this year’s AutoPacific Vehicle Satisfaction Awards (VSAs), taking home four new titles for its trophy cabinet.

The topmost award went to the brand as a whole, with Hyundai winning bragging rights as 2018’s Most Satisfying Popular Brand. Next up, the Hyundai Sonata won 2018 Most Satisfying Mid-Size Car, followed by the Elantra winning 2018 Most Satisfying Compact Car and the Accent winning 2018 Most Satisfying Economy Car.
The AutoPacific VSAs are a benchmark for new-car satisfaction, determined by a wide-ranging survey, asking respondents a variety of questions to what buyers were looking for in a new car and whether their purchase fulfilled those needs. This year, the VSAs collected results from 58,000 new-car owners of 2017 and 2018 cars.

Naturally, Hyundai is ecstatic about the awards. Omar Rivera, director of Quality and Service Engineering for Hyundai Motor America, said, “With so many different brands for customers to choose from, Hyundai is proud to stand out as a leader in the mid-size car, compact car and economy car categories and as the overall winner of the VSA’s Most Satisfying Popular Brand award. Hyundai is committed to satisfying consumers’ needs—whether that be through cutting-edge technology or award-winning safety features—and we are extremely excited by the results of this year’s VSAs.”
AutoPacific commented that Hyundai has been consistently improving its vehicles across the board, and although it faced stiff competition, AutoPacific President George Peterson said, “[…] Hyundai’s products resonate top to bottom with their customers. From reliability and quality to exceptional exterior and interior design, Hyundai cars leave consumers satisfied.”
