Remember the parody made by The Lonely Island and Justin Timberlake for SNL titled “D*** in a Box?” If not, please refresh your memory here before proceeding with this article (and apologies for the quality of this video—YouTube was a simpler place back in 2006). If you don’t feel like watching it, here’s the premise: JT and Andy Samberg are two 90s-era cheeseball R&B singers (think Boyz II Men) who have very special gifts for their girlfriends this Christmas—their members wrapped up in boxes with lovely bows placed on top. So, okay, you’re probably thinking, “what the heck does this have to do with cars?” Well, nothing, actually… until now.

During the holidays, car dealerships tend to have pretty awful commercials urging you to buy your loved one a new (or used) vehicle for Christmas. A Toyota dealership in Oak Lawn, Illinois, took it a step further by making a “D*** in a Box” parody called “Keys in a Box” [ click here to watch ].  The video is part of a promotion for a sales event the dealership is putting on over the holidays, and it’s well worth checking out.

Basically, the video features two salesmen (one who looks creepily like Jon Snow) crooning about how you should buy your woman a brand new Toyota for Christmas this year, and present the keys to her in a box (“not gonna put on a stupid bow/bows are plain out, and that’s for sure”). While you might expect the video to be a straight-up commercial for the various Toyota models carried by the dealership, it’s actually much more than that. The comedy value alone makes it worth watching multiple times, even if you have no intention of actually purchasing some keys in a box from Oak Lawn Toyota.

This is hardly the first time a car dealership has made a music video (We Rep the Southside and this “Fancy” parody being two of the worst we’ve seen), but there’s just something about Keys in a Box that we find hilarious. And that is why Oak Lawn Toyota wins the internet. Watch the video, and be prepared to laugh. Hard.
