As the festivities of the end of 2016 begin, we here at The News Wheel would like to take a solemn moment to remember those vehicles which are no longer with us.

The Hyundai Equus, taken from us so tragically as it is devoured by Hyundai’s new luxury brand Genesis.
The Cadillac ELR, which came onto the market with such promise and excitement, but sold very few because nobody wanted to pay that much for a fancier Volt.
The Dodge Viper, which simply didn’t make as much money as the other Fiat Chrysler sports cars.
The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, discontinued in favor of chasing higher profits with more crossovers and SUVs.
The Chrysler Town and Country, replaced in its old age by a hot young thing with a new, innovative powertrain.
Chin Up: At least we still have the Dodge Challenger
The Dodge Dart, turned down in favor of building more sweet money-making Jeeps and Rams.
The Jeep Patriot, dropped from the lineup with little fanfare and replaced by a redesigned Compass.
The Lincoln MKS, which sold poorly despite awards, as some saw it as just a more expensive and more leathery Ford Taurus.
The Volvo S80, which has gradually drifted out of the public eye before disappearing entirely.
And finally, Scion, Toyota’s stab at selling cars for the kids, which was really mostly bought by middle-aged people because the kids had no money.
