Infiniti Accelerator 2.0So many professionals around the world have ideas in their head of how to make the world a better place, but have no financial resources to help them launch their projects. Infiniti sees that creativity, and so the automaker has partnered with the Hong Kong investment firm Nest to create a program it calls the Infiniti Accelerator 2.0 to help these creative minds change the cities of our future.

The program focuses on cities because of how rapidly they are growing and changing to accommodate new technology and bigger populations, and it supports Infiniti’s earlier stances on being committed to the urban future as it unfolds. Professionals apply for a spot in Infiniti Accelerator 2.0, and eight of the prospective companies with the best ideas are invited to participate in the program with support from Nest and Infiniti. While in other programs support simply means money, the partners are in the Infiniti Accelerator 2.0 are provided training courses and expert mentorships to help the ideas develop over 12 weeks. At the end of the program, the polished projects are presented to a board of investors to gain the funding needed to make them a reality.

Last year, an initial version of the Infiniti Accelerator was conducted in Hong Kong (hence why this version is called 2.0) with more than 140 applications. The program will again take place in Hong Kong, with plans to them launch similar programs in more Asian cities and the Middle East. As of right now, there are no plans to move this program to the United States.
