Infiniti Announces Three QX30 Lines for 2016

The production 2017 Infiniti QX30 was unveiled at the LA Auto Show this November, but offered few details about the vehicle besides the fact that it will go on sale in the summer of 2016. This week the automaker released a few new details to an eager public.

The Infiniti QX30 line is officially classified as a premium active crossover, and there will be three different versions of the new model. According to Infiniti, each QX30 line will not only operate with different features under the hood or in the cabin, but they will also have their own unique exterior features. Most notable changes will occur around the front and rear fascia.

First out of the gate is the Infiniti QX30, which is basically the same version that is currently sold overseas as the Q30. It will be equipped with front-wheel drive and a dramatic exterior. Next is the Infiniti QX30 S, which will is being billed as the sportiest version of the model with performance tires and a ride that’s lower to the ground. The QX30 S is also already sold around the world as the Q30S. Finally, the Infiniti QX30 AWD will sit the highest off of the ground and will feature intelligent all-wheel drive to handle harsh winters and wet summers. This model is actually the one that was presented at the LA Autos Show as the QX30.

The last detail revealed by Infiniti to the press is that the US and Canadian QX30 will be equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that generates 208 horsepower and an automatic transmission. The three Infiniti QX30 models will roll out nationwide in mid-2016.
