The Infiniti QX60 crossover is a serious upgrade from the Wagon Queen Family Truckster

This summer’s movie releases have been full of sequels and remakes, with a few original franchises thrown in. One of the most talked-about remakes coming in 2015 is Vacation, a continuation of the popular National Lampoon’s Vacation series. Starring Ed Helms as Rusty Griswold, it follows the Griswold family on another road trip to Walley World with a new generation and the challenges they face on the road. Infiniti is so excited, they have paid tribute to the film in their latest commercial.

In the new movie, the Griswold family piles into a “Tartan Prancer” minivan (no, that’s not a real brand) to hit the road. For the commercial, Infiniti has upgraded the vehicle to an Infiniti QX60 crossover. Not bad!

As the ad opens, the family gets in the Infiniti QX60 for their journey to Walley World. As you would guess in a National Lampoon’s Vacation tribute, a Ferrari driven by a hot blonde pulls up alongside the crossover. Check out the commercial below for the surprise at the end of the ad!

That’s right, Christie Brinkley, the original hot blonde in a Ferrari, is playing the mom of the family! Of course, she can’t resist scolding her husband for checking out the woman in the next lane.
