We knew it was coming, but that doesn’t mean we weren’t left speechless when we first laid eyes on the Infiniti Q60 Concept this morning at NAIAS. It’s a great indicator of what the next couple of years will look like, since Infiniti already announced it would unveil an all-new model in 2016 based heavily around the Q60 Concept.

The Q60 Concept is a two-door coupe that boasts a streamlined body, as well as Infiniti’s classic headlamps, while giving the impression of a vehicle that can move very fast indeed. The interior boasts a handcrafted leather-wrapped instrument panel and steering wheel, and premium leather seats with quilted stitching.

The vehicle is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 engine that features both direct injection and twin-turbocharging—an engine that Infiniti is calling “next-generation.” This V6 comes from a family of engines that Infiniti will be rolling out in the coming months and years, all of which are lighter, smaller, and more efficient while simultaneously providing more power.
