Infiniti Q70L Bespoke Edition Debuts at Auto Shanghai

Infiniti unveiled the Q70L Bespoke Edition on Sunday during the opening ceremonies of Auto Shanghai 2015. The Bespoke Edition features what Infiniti calls a “concept car-inspired interior,” featuring high-quality craftsmanship and materials that would fit right in with the distinguished tastes of Chinese luxury shoppers.

Apart from the upgrade to the interior, the Q70L Bespoke Edition is otherwise the same as the production version that also made its Chinese debut—alongside the Q80 Inspiration and Q60 Concept—at Shanghai. It sports a wheelbase that is 5.9 inches longer than the regular Q70—a surefire way to appeal to Chinese customers—and a sharp, streamlined exterior.

The interior is meant to serve as a bridge between the interiors of current Infiniti models and the more futuristic styling of its concepts. It features four seats and door panels all wrapped in plush white leather and uses three-dimensional textures to create a better visual pop. The interior of the Q70L Bespoke Edition is said to be a “cossetting space,” because fancy words are fancy.

“Today’s display reinforces Infiniti’s distinctive design language of power and artistry, with the Q70L translating that seamlessly into an interior treatment,” said Roland Krueger, president Infiniti Motor Company. “Our growing product portfolio is continuing to be inspired by our progressive design language as Infiniti further enhances its distinctive presence in the premium world.”
