Formula One is well known for its elaborate circuits at prestigious locations—such as the Monaco Grand Prix—blazing fast lap times, and its ability to attract the best drivers in the world.

Many would agree, however, that F1 is not just about driving. The sport’s place at the top of single-seater motorsports doesn’t just reflect the capability of its drivers but also the incredible engineering that goes into building the cars. Just as for the drivers, F1 is the pinnacle of racing for many aspiring engineers.

Soon, Infiniti will discover who will be the next Formula One engineering star in the world finals of its Infiniti Performance Engineering Academy. The winner will be offered the opportunity of a lifetime: 12 months in an engineering role with Infiniti Red Bull Racing, complete with accommodation in the UK, a full salary, and an Infiniti company car. The winner will be chosen on July 3.

“The Infiniti Performance Engineering Academy is an exciting initiative for young engineering students to become inspired and realize their dream of working in the pinnacle of motorsport, Formula One,” said Adrian Newey, Chief Technical Officer at Infiniti Red Bull Racing. “Judging by the applications submitted, it is great to see so much passion and enthusiasm from our engineers of the future.”
