Interactive “Stinger Salons” Give Drivers Immersive Experience of All-New Kia Stinger
Your local mall just got a whole lot cooler. Already open in the Old Orchard Mall in Skokie, Illinois; the Westchester Mall in White Plains, New York; and the Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, Maryland, “Stinger Salons” are designed to give drivers an interactive experience of the all-new, long-awaited Kia Stinger. At these salons, you can ask on-site specialists about the sports sedan, and if you are ready to buy, the specialist will direct you to one of Kia’s available dealerships.
The most performance-driven vehicle created by Kia, the Stinger is available at five trim levels—Stinger, Premium, GT, GT1, and GT2. The Stinger and Premium trims are equipped with a twin scroll turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder Theta II engine, which generates 255 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. A twin turbocharged 3.3-liter V6 Lambda II engine powers the GT, GT1, and GT2 trims, producing 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque. Each engine is perfectly paired to Kia’s signature eight-speed rear-drive automatic transmission.
“Stinger is a dream car and as we usher in a new era for the Kia brand we are doing something different to show people just how far Kia has come with a true gran turismo that has a faster top speed and zero to 60 time than a Porsche Panamera,” said Saad Chehab, vice president, marketing communications, Kia Motors America (KMA). “Whether you are a diehard enthusiast or a curious onlooker who has heard the buzz about the Stinger and Kia’s industry-leading quality, our salons are designed to take visitors on a journey and explore what makes the Stinger such a unique and special offering.”
Kia plans to open more Stinger Salons during the first quarter of 2018 in the Domain in Austin, Texas; the Mall of Georgia in Buford, Georgia; the Irvine Spectrum in Irvine, California; and the Valley Fair Mall in Santa Clara, California.
