Introducing the 2015 Kia Soul
While the Soul was completely redesigned for the 2014 model year, the 2015 Kia Soul will be fresh and innovative all on its own. (It is the Soul, after all.) The all-new 2015 Kia Soul will be offered in three trims: Base, Plus, and Exclaim.
The Base package comes equipped with a new UVO eServices Package, which is available for 10 years or 100,000 miles (whichever comes first). Four new features are included on the 2015 Soul’s UVO eServices, including Curfew Alert, Driving Score, Geo-fencing, and Speed Alert. Drivers can also download apps they find helpful via the Kia App store. The UVO system also includes Local Search (powered by Google) and Siri® Eyes Free, and Sirius XM Travel Link.
A gasoline direct injection 1.6-liter all-aluminum DOHC four-cylinder engine, capable of 130 horsepower and 118 lb-ft of torque, powers the base model. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission; a six-speed automatic is optional.
The Plus trim is left unchanged for the 2015 Kia Soul, but the Exclaim trim now features an available interior Umber Color Package, available with only the Fathom Blue or Cloud White exterior colors. (Other Soul-exclusive colors include Solar Yellow and Inferno Red.) The Umber Color Package also includes Gloss Black wheel inserts and premium Nappa leather seat surfaces and door armrest accents.
Under the hood of both the Plus and the Exclaim models is a 2.0-liter NU engine with gasoline direct injection. This power plant is good for 164 horsepower and 151 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox.
