Subaru is reporting that accomplished drivers, Sverre Isachsen and Bucky Lasek, have renewed their multi-year contracts with Subaru Rally Team USA, meaning both men will take the wheel in the Red Bull Global Rallycross Championship and the Summer X Games under the Subaru name once again. Isachsen and Lasek have both been with the Subaru team since 2011.

“It was an easy decision for us to keep them on the team,” remarked Rob Weir, who is the Marketing Manager for Subaru Motorsports. “Bucky and Sverre put Subaru on the podium five times last season and continue to play a key role in the development of our rallycross program. Both drivers share tremendous pride for the Subaru brand and the success of Subaru Rally Team USA.”

Among those five podium finishes were an X Games Silver Medal snagged by Lasek and victory in the Emerald City (Seattle, not Oz) for Isachsen. It’s no wonder that the two have been and continue to be so integral to Subaru’s success: Isachsen has taken three European Rallycross Championships and Lasek is one of the most celebrated drivers in the sport.

Isachsen and Lasek will also be joined by Travis Pastrana at certain events this year, though his schedule has not yet been released.

“The team as a whole is like a family and we have worked so hard together the past few years to develop this program and we are winning now, fighting at the top,” commented Lasek. “I’m so happy to continue to be a part of this family and the Subaru motorsports heritage.”

We’re still a little way off from the launch of the 2015 season. The first race isn’t scheduled until May 31st, at Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida.
