The redesigned grille won’t be the only exterior alteration for the 2019 Jeep Cherokee. The new Cherokee will also sport a hands-free power liftgate and an available dual-pane sunroof.

Cherokee drivers will also have plenty of options when it comes to their vehicle’s wheels. In fact, Jeep will offer five new wheel designs with the 2019 Cherokee, including available 19-inch wheels.

FCA has included its latest Uconnect system with the new Cherokee

Interior changes are also abundant throughout the Cherokee’s cabin. The 2019 Jeep Cherokee is equipped with the fourth generation of FCA’s Uconnect system, complete with either a 7.0-inch or 8.4-inch touchscreen.

The interior dimensions of the Cherokee have been increased as well. Rear cargo capacity now totals more than 27 cubic feet.

Chrysler at the NAIAS: Showcasing the latest features

In spite of an instantly-recognizable change with the Cherokee’s front grille, the biggest change for the model might just come in the form of its updated powertrains. These include a 3.2-liter Pentastar V6 model, which produces 271 horsepower and 239 lb-ft of torque, and a more fuel-efficient 2.4-liter Tigershark engine, delivering 180 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque.

For the best of both worlds, Cherokee drivers can select the brand-new 2.0-liter direct-injection engine. Utilizing start-stop technology, the 2.0-liter engine reduces greenhouse gas emissions and improves fuel economy, all while still producing 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque.
