Classified as a nontraditional hardtop by the experts at U.S. News & World Report, the Jeep Wrangler easily took a coveted spot on the pub’s list of the 7 Best Hardtop Convertibles of 2018 thanks to its out of the box convertible design.

“The Wrangler takes open-air driving further than most vehicles,” said U.S. News & World Report writer Kristen Hall-Geisler. “The doors come off using a tool that’s included with the vehicle, so you don’t have to guess which wrench to use to take them off or put them back on. The bolts for the windshield have been redesigned too, so folding it down and out of the way is easier.”

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler is equipped with the fourth-generation Uconnect system that boasts a choice of a 5.0-, 7.0- or 8.4-inch touchscreen display and Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ compatibility.

“The all-new Wrangler is instantly recognizable as a Jeep, staying true to the original, yet it is better in every way — delivering even more rugged capability, more ride comfort, more fuel efficiency courtesy of several advanced powertrain options, more interior comfort, more safety and more technology,” said Mike Manley, Head of Jeep Brand – FCA Global.

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler can be powered by a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine with Engine Stop-Start (ESS) or the new 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine equipped with eTorque technology for an efficient ride. In 2019, the Jeep Wrangler will also offer a diesel engine option — a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 with ESS.
