In a recent Chevy Silverado ad, NASCAR racer Dale Earnhardt Jr. discussed his family’s long-running connection to the bowtie brand. According to a new video from Chevrolet Performance, fellow driver Jeff Gordon has also had a lifelong love affair with Chevy—in fact, according to Gordon, his very first vehicle was a 1980 Stepside pickup.

Although he’s made most of his fame and fortune piloting the #24 Chevrolet SS stock car, Jeff Gordon says his daily driver is a Jet Black 2015 Chevy Suburban 1LT.

In the video, Gordon talks about his favorite features on the Suburban, including the Chevy MyLink infotainment system, as well as the 22-inch accessory wheels with black inserts that he specially chose for the vehicle.

“I drive this car every single day,” Gordon gushes, “I love this vehicle. I mean, this is the perfect vehicle for me and my family… I need something that has a lot of space for a lot of luggage, something that’s great for my kids, and safe for my kids.”

In the video, we also see Gordon filming a commercial for the 2015 Stingray Corvette that he’s raffling off for his charity, which affords us the opportunity to get his thoughts on the latest edition of America’s sports car, as well.

“The lines on this car are so impressive, so sleek, but yet, all Corvette,” says Gordon, who also thinks that the Torch Red paint job is the way to go. “I mean, if you’re going to own a Corvette, and you want the ultimate sports car, it’s got to be Torch Red.”
