Jennifer Lopez Takes a Ride with Carpool Karaoke
This month has been disappointing for The News Wheel‘s resident Carpool Karaoke expert. After a huge batch of videos surrounding the Grammy Awards and the Super Bowl last month, there was nothing for me to write about from the set of The Late Late Show With James Corden. This week, though, Corden finally delivered with an amazing episode of Carpool Karaoke featuring the lovely Jennifer Lopez.

James Corden and Jennifer Lopez brought out the big guns while driving to the CBS lot, singing songs from other artists like Bruno Mars, but also breaking out the classic J.Lo hits like “Jenny From the Block”. Lopez even bursts out into a song in Spanish, and she commits to singing the song about an intense breakup, smacking Corden rather forcefully on the arm. Once Corden heard that the song was about a terrible man, he apologized for all of mankind (and J.Lo turned it down on behalf of womankind).
One of the most talked-about portions of the video is when Corden gets a hold of Lopez’s phone and looks at her contacts list, which is of course filled with the best of the best celebrities. Corden responsibly pulls over before swiping the rose-colored iPhone, asking if he can text a celebrity. He finds Oscar-winner Leonardo DiCaprio on the list, and sends a text as J.Lo and gets an invitation back to go out to the clubs. Lopez declines to cook at home with her kids instead.

Oh, and for all of you who have may have wondered, J.Lo told Corden that her famous derriere is not insured, contrary to popular rumor. Corden says that his is insured, but for the safety of his audience if they should ever set eyes on it.
