After Bill Peffer left Cadillac back in June to pursue other interests, Kurt McNeil stepped up to the plate as the interim US Vice President of Sales until Cadillac could land on a more permanent replacement. Three months later, Cadillac has officially announced that Jim Bunnell will fill the role, effective October 1st. Bunnell will report directly to the President of Cadillac, Johan de Nysschen.

Bunnell, who is 59, currently serves as the Vice President of Chevrolet and Cadillac European sales.

“The addition of Jim to Cadillac’s leadership team is one of the key steps we are taking to strengthen the focus and alignment of our organization,” explained de Nysschen. “Jim has strong experience leading automotive sales and service organizations, including the crucial partnerships with dealers that are so important to our success.”

Bunnell has been with GM for the long haul, having joined the team back in 1979. Over the years, he has served in positions in sales management, product planning, manufacturing, and finance. Back in 2007, Bunnell was named General Manager of Pontiac, Buick, and GMC; a year later, in 2008, he was promoted to General Manager of US Sales Support Group of General Motors.
