John Hennessey Drove the HPE700 Supercharged Mustang 195 MPH

Texas is home to a lot of things that aren’t terrible politicians and chest-beating bravado. One of those things is the highest speed limit in the land at 85 miles per hour. To a certified genius/madman like John Hennessey, saying that the fastest you can drive is 85 miles per hour is probably tantamount to telling a Texan that their favorite sports teams are at best mediocre and at worst awful.
The only difference is that when John Hennessey gets told how fast he can drive, he just says “nah” and drives his HPE700 Supercharged Mustang 195 mph because he can. When you tell a Texan that the Cowboys suck, they just kind of vibrate angrily before bursting into tears.

We are also very happy to have the ability to demonstrate the daily drivability of our HPE700 along with the durability. Our supercharged 5.0 V8 ran flawlessly at high rpm and high speeds while oil temps were never an issue, thanks to our Pennzoil PurePlus synthetic. We drove it to Continental, ran 195+ mph and drove it home—a round trip distance of over 500 miles.”
