Jon Wells is Who Helps Make the HondaJet a Honda
In the latest entry in the 12-part What Makes a Honda is Who Makes a Honda video series, we take a look at Jon Wells, the Senior Manager of Logistics and Materials Control at Honda Aircraft Company.
Wells has been with Honda for 12 years, and he currently works at the Honda Aircraft Company facility in Greensboro, North Carolina, where he is responsible for ensuring that all of the tools necessary to build the exciting new HondaJet. An avid fan of flight, Wells inspired to join the HondaJet team when it debuted more than 10 years ago.
“The aircraft first flew in 2003 and I was actually at American Honda on the automotive side. When I saw it fly, I knew that my ultimate goal was to combine what I do with my passion for aviation,” Wells said.
Appropriately enough, Jon Wells enjoys flying his own personal aircraft in his spare time and is a licensed Airline Transport Pilot and certified flight instructor. He has also transported more than 240 patients for medical treatment through Angel Flight and 200 animals through the Pilots ‘n Paws program.
The previous entry in the Who Makes a Honda a Honda series focused on aerospace engineer Annie Boh. Other entries profiled Sandip Suvedi, Eddie Caldwell, and Tina Burgess.
