Justin Allgaier Is Moving to JR Motorsports
JR Motorsports, which is a Chevy team owned by Dale Earnhardt Jr., his sister Kelley Earnhardt Miller, and Rick Hendrick, announced this week that its will be welcoming racer Justin Allgaier to its NASCAR Xfinity Series team in 2016. His sponsor, Brandt Professional Agriculture, will also be moving with him for 18 of his 33 races. Allgaier will be behind the wheel of the number seven car, which was recently driven by Regan Smith.

Justin Allgaier was named Rookie of the Year in 2009, and since then has performed well as a NASCAR racer, finishing third in points in 2011, his best racing season so far.
To help Allgaier on his new team, he’ll be partnered with veteran crew chief Jason Burdett. Other cars run by JR Motorsports include the number nine car, which will be driven by Elliott Sadler, and the number 88. The number 88 JR Motorsports Chevrolet will be driven by several Sprint Cup drivers, including Kevin Harvick, Kasey Kahne, Chase Elliott, and Dale Earnhardt Jr..

JR Motorsports fields cars in the Xfinity series and, starting this year, the Camping World Truck Series. The company does not own and operate Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s Sprint Cup Series number 88 Chevrolet. JR Motorsports’ co-owner, Rick Hendrick, and his Hendrick Motorsports, manage that aspect of Earnhardt Jr.’s career.
