To help Allgaier on his new team, he’ll be partnered with veteran crew chief Jason Burdett. Other cars run by JR Motorsports include the number nine car, which will be driven by Elliott Sadler, and the number 88. The number 88 JR Motorsports Chevrolet will be driven by several Sprint Cup drivers, including Kevin Harvick, Kasey Kahne, Chase Elliott, and Dale Earnhardt Jr..

JR Motorsports fields cars in the Xfinity series and, starting this year, the Camping World Truck Series. The company does not own and operate Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s Sprint Cup Series number 88 Chevrolet. JR Motorsports’ co-owner, Rick Hendrick, and his Hendrick Motorsports, manage that aspect of Earnhardt Jr.’s career.
