Ford Best Truck Brand

When you think of the kind of folks who drive pickup trucks, you don’t generally think of people terribly concerned with the idea of image. You’re more apt to think of the working American, caked in dirt and in their element. The industry experts at Kelley Blue Book, on the other hand, have an eye for image, which explains why they will name Ford “Best Truck Brand” at the New York International Auto Show this week.

According to KBB’s Brand Image Award announcement, Ford’s F-Series has won the Best Truck Brand honor five times. This is particularly impressive when one considers that Kelley Blue Book has only handed out the award six times. KBB says that the superlative performance of both the F-150 and the Super Duty F-250 and F-350 allowed Ford to reclaim the top spot as consumers’ favorite brand.

“The classic saying ‘perception is reality’ falls true with the Kelley Blue Book Brand Image Awards, as more than 12,000 in-market new-car shoppers have voiced their opinions about today’s automakers,” said KBB’s VP of market intelligence Hwei-Lin Oetken.  “With strong marketing communications coming from auto manufacturers and dealers, and the increased importance of peer reviews and ratings, consumers today are more influenced than ever to take interest in a brand, ultimately affecting their vehicle purchase decisions.”
