Kia Adds More Features to 2016 Kia Soul Lineup
The Kia Soul lineup has received multiple upgrades for the 2016 model year
The Kia Soul has always had a funky style that can’t be ignored, appealing to a variety of consumers around the world. Now, Kia is making the Soul even more appealing. The South Korean carmaker recently announced a variety of feature updates to the 2016 Kia Soul lineup.
Updates throughout the lineup from the 2015 Soul are pretty simple. They include new features across the base trim, Plus trim, and Exclaim trim levels. The base trim’s biggest change is its new alloy wheels, though it is also getting an optional Convenience Package. As you might guess, this package makes the base Soul more convenient than ever before with technology like a 4.3-inch color touchscreen, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a rearview camera.
The Plus trim’s features are also expanding, including a rearview camera and gloss-black “tusks” on the bumper. New optional amenities include the Designer Collection, which offers a two-toned color combination, 18-inch alloy wheels with black spokes, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
Finally, for the premium Exclaim trim, leather seating is standard. Similar to the other two trims, it also has a new optional package called the Premium Package. Add-ons for this package include a forward-collision warning system, lane-departure warning, navigation, and an upgraded Infinity sound system, among other innovative technologies.
Kia has yet to announce the pricing or arrival date for the 2016 Kia Soul, so make sure you keep an eye out for this information in the future. If it’s anything like the attractive pricing for the 2015 model, we’re excited. The Kia Soul EV already saw a $2000 price drop, so maybe something similar is in store for it’s gas-powered cousin.
