Kia Continues Partnership with NBC Sunday Night Football
What goes together better than football and cheerleaders? Surprisingly enough, football and Kia.
Kia Motors America is returning for its second season of NBC Sunday Night Football, extending the brand’s marketing campaign for the updated 2016 Kia Sorento. This renewed campaign began earlier this week, featuring two new TV commercials—“Participation” and “Great Game.” Both of the two commercials focuses on a specific feature on the Sorento, and how said feature can help in real life football situations.
In “Participation,” a father and son walk to their Sorento after the son’s football team received a participation trophy during its end-of-season ceremony—despite the fact the team went undefeated. The father decides to take matters into his own hands, turning the trophy into a “Champs” award.

“Great Game” also focuses on a father-and-son relationship. The father loads his son’s football equipment into the Sorento’s large cargo area, telling his son, “Great game, Billy!” After this statement, we’re privy to the mother’s inner monologue and the opposing view she has about Billy’s on-field prowess.

Even if you’re not a huge fan of Kia, but you love football, you have to admit—these commercials highlight exactly what makes the American sport so fantastic.
