Kia Extends Partnership with the LPGA
Just a couple weeks ago, we suggested that Kia sponsor the USWNT, considering the range of talent and well-known faces on the team. While we haven’t heard any news around the subject, Kia did renew an existing partnership with a different group of talented women. The South Korean brand announced the renewal with the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) prior to the eighth annual Kia Classic Tournament in Carlsbad, California on March 20-26.

The multi-year renewal as the “Official Automotive Partner” of the LPGA will mean Kia will continue to display its logo at many events, including two major tournaments–the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in June and the ANA Inspiration tournament at the end of the month.
“Both Kia and the LPGA have experienced tremendous growth in visibility and awareness as a result of our partnership, and we are proud to extend the relationship and look forward to several more years of successful collaboration,” said Kimberley Gardiner, director of marketing communications, KMA.
Monday marks the beginning of the Kia Classic and will feature a variety of Kia-sponsored events and opportunities for LPGA fans. Many visitors will have a chance to meet some of the pros and acquire autographs. Additional family-friendly activities will take place throughout the event at the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, and a fleet of Kia vehicles will be transporting the players around the grounds during the event. The winner of the Kia Classic will not only win a $1.8 million purse, but they will also drive away with an all-new 2017 Kia Cadenza.
To make things even better, the LPGA is donating a portion of the proceeds from the Kia Classic to Hire Heroes USA, as it did in the previous year. The organization is committed to aiding military veterans with civilian employment opportunities after concluding their service to the country. As a side note, active duty military members and their families get in for free at the Kia Classic (with ID).
The 8th Annual Kia Classic will be airing on the Golf Channel throughout the week, and fans can also find more details on Kia’s social media profiles: @LPGAKiaClassic, @Kia, and #KiaClassic.
