Kia GT4 Stinger Concept Teaser Made Us Love Mondays

When we got teased by Kia about the GT4 Stinger concept earlier this month, the days leading up to the North American International Auto Show felt like an eternity.  The Korean automaker released a GT4 Stinger concept teaser image earlier this month that, along with some delicious-sounding specs, had us all anticipating the auto show like Christmas Day.

This Kia GT4 Concept teaser was more than enough to leave us wanting more.

The Kia GT4 Stinger Concept debuted at 2014 NAIA after this teaser image was released.

Kia’s GT4 Stinger teaser was accompanied by some tantalizing numbers: the engine will be a tuned version of the 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline direct injected (T-GDI) four-cylinder engine that we all know and love.  How tuned, you ask?  How does 315 horsepower sound?  Yeah, that’s pretty well tuned, all right.  The engine will be mated to a close-ration six-speed manual transmission that powers the rear-wheel-drive.

In the front, we’ve got 235/35R20 Pirelli P-Zero tires. In the back,  we have 275/35R20 Pirelli P-Zeroes.  They’ll sit nicely upon custom 20” aluminum center-lock wheels that feature carbon fiber inserts for strength and weight reduction.  And if you want to stop and get out because you can’t handle all of the fury, the GT4 uses Brembo Gran Tourismo two-piece cross-drilled rotors with four-piston calipers.  It will also feature a custom chassis and independent double wishbone suspension.

Looking good in “Ignition Yellow,” the Kia GT4 Stinger concept teaser was quite a sight.  Now that the show has kicked off and all of the details are other, one question remains. Will this concept go to production? Give us your impressions of the GT4 Stinger in the comment section below.
