Kia Motors is making quite an interactive impression at this year’s Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show. Not only is the automaker debuting two custom builds—the Special Kia Stinger GT Wide Body and the Special Kia Cadenza Obsidian—it is also offering show guests a chance to experience the thrill of a modified 2018 Stinger GT prototype, which is expertly maneuvered by professional Formula Drift Drivers, as well as the chance to take the wheel themselves in a Stinger GT through the complexities of a Kia-designed autocross course. Finally, Kia is showing off the exquisitely-designed and powerful modified Stinger GT Federation, which is equipped with “parts and accessories from leading aftermarket suppliers,” according to Kia Media.

“We are so thrilled to show off what Kia has become at SEMA because 2017 is a momentous year for our Kia brand,” said Justin Sohn, President and CEO of Kia Motors America.  “We ranked #1 in quality for the second year in a row in JD Power’s Initial Quality Study, we are top three in Consumer Reports reliability and we are now introducing the all-new 2018 four-door Stinger Sports Fastback, Kia’s fastest ever and our first performance vehicle.”

According to Kia Media, the custom-built Kia Stinger GT Wide Body was created by West Coast Customs and “rides on 21-inch Keen forged wheels wrapped with high performance tires,” sports quad-port exhaust tips, and a “driver-centric cockpit” complete with an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel.

West Coast Customs also created the Special Kia Cadenza Obsidian with copper accents, 20-inch gloss-black Keen wheels with Cosmic Trim, super dark ceramic window tint, and “butter-soft leather brown leather seats,” reports Kia Media.

The Stinger GT Federation sports a twin-turbo 3.3-liter engine, which generates an approximate 380 horsepower, according to Kia Media.
