“This is a welcome endorsement of the Rio’s flexibility and usability for owners who have an active outdoor lifestyle,” states President and CEO of Kia Motors U.K., Paul Philpott. “We are delighted that Practical Caravan recognizes the quality and value that the Rio represents.

Cars in the U.K. that are considered for Tow Awards must go through a series of towing tests including 30-60 mile-per-hour acceleration, 30-0 mile-per-hour braking, hill starts and an emergency lane change. Analysts from What Car? also score cars based on regular driving, safety, running costs and value. The Camping and Caravanning Club’s technical team takes a look at each car’s practical detail such as presence of a spare wheel and if it is suitable for towing.

Tow Awards are given to vehicles that are great for towing as well as easy for everyday living while being a good value for customers. The News Wheel congratulates the reliable and family-friendly Kia Rio for their Tow Award this year.
