Kia Soon to Release All-Electric 2018 Niro, Brand Set to Have 8 EVs by 2022

Kia has established its reputation for producing eco-friendly autos. Both Kia and its sister Hyundai are speeding toward the goal of having 31 green-car models in production by 2022. This would include plug-in hybrids, hybrids, hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles, and battery electrics. Hyundai and Kia claim that eight of the planned 31 autos will be all-electric.
Holding up to its end of the bargain, Kia has already introduced the 2017 Kia Soul EV. Its quiet electric motor combines with 210 lb-ft of torque made for a smooth, responsive ride. Though it yields only 109 horsepower, the Kia Soul EV is a noteworthy predecessor for more energetic EV models.

Kia has acknowledged that not everyone prefers the boxy profile of the Soul. For consumers who prefer a more gracefully-contoured crossover, the fully electric 2018 Kia Niro model aims to please. Set for a late 2017 release, the 2018 Niro Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) is predicted to replace the Soul EV. Kia boasts that the model will provide enhanced performance capability as well as Eco-DAS (Driver Assistance System) to enhance efficiency. Consumers can also anticipate a bevy of convenience features and entertainment technology.
