The Kia Sorento is experiencing fantastic déjà-vu. For the second year in a row, the impressive SUV has earned award-winning attention from U.S. News & World Report. As the “Best 3-Row SUV for the Money,” the Kia Sorento perfectly blends value and quality as well as delivers drivers with a varied selection of available driver assistance features such as Advanced Smart Cruise Control, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Detection, Dynamic Bending Lights, Forward Collision Warning, and Autonomous Emergency Braking.

The U.S. News & World Report awards focus on the level of safety, value, and reliability a car delivers as well as considers the impressions of automotive industry experts. The publication’s staff defined value as “measured by a combination of a vehicle’s five-year total cost of ownership and the average price paid for the vehicle at the time the awards are published,” according to Kia.

The 2018 Kia Sorento is available in seven trims: L, LX, LX V6, EX 2.0T, EX V6, SX, and SX Limited. The L and LX trims are equipped with a 2.4-liter DOHC 16-valve inline four-cylinder engine mated to an electronically controlled six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive; this powertrain delivers 185 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque.

The LX V6, EX V6, SX, and SX Limited trims are equipped with a 3.3-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 engine that is mated to an electronically controlled six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive; this powertrain delivers 290 horsepower and 252 lb-ft of torque.

The EX 2.0T trim is equipped with a 2.0-liter DOHC 16-valve inline four-cylinder engine mated to Kia’s electronically controlled six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive; this powertrain generates 240 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque.
