Kia Supports National Teen Driver Safety Week with Free Hands-On Driving Training

National Teen Driver Safety Week is coming up on October 18th and runs until the 24th. Because of this, it’s important to acknowledge how dangerous it is for teens out on the road. Every year, approximately 3,000 teenagers lose their lives in automobile accidents. That’s the average of eight teens every day. These numbers are absolutely astounding—and are the main reason why Kia wants to make the road a safer place for teenage drivers.
In partnership with the lifesaving Be Responsible and Keep Everyone Safe (B.R.A.K.E.S.) Teen Pro-Active Driving School, Kia is offering free, hands-on defensive driving training to teenagers throughout the United States. These students will have the opportunity to advance their understanding of driving, learning a variety of driving techniques that could potentially save their lives.
A Long Background in Helping Out: Learn more about Kia’s history
The free advanced driver training is coming to a variety of locations. The dates and exact locations are as follows:
- October 17th to 18th at the North Carolina State Trooper Training Center in Raleigh, North Carolina
- October 24th to 25th at the zMax Dragway in Concord, North Carolina
- October 31st to November 1st at the New England Dragway in Epping, New Hampshire
- November 14th to 15th at the zMax Dragway in Concord, North Carolina
- November 21st and 22nd at the Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia
- December 5th and 6th at the zMax Dragway in Concord, North Carolina
- December 19th and 20th at the Fairplex in Pomona, California

These free training courses provide students with the proper education to help prevent accidents. Some of the more important curriculum topics include Accident Avoidance, Distracted Driving Prevention, Panic Stops, and more.
