Kia’s 2014 sales performance has been, to put it succinctly, absolutely incredible these first six months. In fact, the automaker achieved its best-ever first-half-of-the-year performance, moving 297,413 vehicles over the last six months. This marks a 7.2 percent improvement in year-to-date sales compared to 2013.

That’s not all Kia has to brag about. Recently, Kia jumped to the sixth position in the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study, the highest that the automaker has ever seen. On top of that, Kia also jumped up two positions on Interbrand’s Top 50 Global Green Brands list.

The Kia Cadenza sale a sales increase over last June.

In June, Kia moved 50,644 units, up more than 100 from last June. The Cadenza, Sportage, Sorento, and Soul all saw slight increases. The K900, new for this year, sold 224 units last month, and 816 total this year.

“Kia is celebrating its 20th anniversary in the U.S. this year, and our record-setting first half is a testament to how far the brand has come in an extremely short period of time,” commented Michael Sprague, executive vice president of sales and marketing, Kia Motors America.  “Over the last two decades, Kia has earned a reputation for delivering world-class design and cutting-edge technology as well as outstanding safety, quality and value across our entire range, from subcompact to luxury. With more exciting new products on the horizon, we are poised to continue our momentum into the second half of the year and beyond.”
