Ford Sales and Service Korea officially welcomed the new MKZ into the country last month with an MKZ Media Showcase that hosted more than 100 journalists and 20 “power bloggers.” The MKZ has been sold in Korea since its launch in 2013, and the kickoff of sales for the 2017 model represents Ford’s next move in ensuring that the Lincoln brand becomes more popular amongst customers in the region.

“The 2017 new Lincoln MKZ is distinctively bold and beautiful,” said Jae-hee Jung, president and CEO, Ford Korea. “The 2017 model is a far more advanced version than in previous years. We fully expect the new MKZ to garner the attention of domestic consumers and solidify the Lincoln brand value in the domestic premium import car market.”

In addition to the MKZ’s bold new look on the outside—down to a new signature grille flanked by LED headlamps and a new one-piece taillamp that draws more attention to a chrome diffusor and dual exhaust—the 2017 model adds a Revel premium audio system with nineteen speakers, SYNC 3 infotainment, and multi-contour seats with Bridge of Weir Deepsoft leather on the inside.

Performance-wise, the 2017 MKZ gets a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine; standard Lincoln Drive Control and a Continuously Controlled Damping suspension for the ultimate in handling; and cutting-edge technologies including adaptive cruise control with Stop-and-Go, Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, and Lane Keeping System to ensure complete safety.

Pricing for the 2017 Lincoln MKZ starts at KRW 52,500,000.
