Nissan LEAF named Best Roomy Electric by Good Housekeeping in the November issue

Did you folks know that Good Housekeeping hands out awards for cars? Yep. They do.

One of this year’s recipients: the 2015 Nissan LEAF SL, which Good Housekeeping named the best “Roomy Electric” in their November buyer’s guide, which is on newsstands today.

The LEAF was singled out by the Good Housekeeping Research Institute for its exceptional value, electric driving range, and the usefulness of Nissan’s Around View Monitor. These are all things that we already knew prior to this morning (unlike the fact that Good Housekeeping has annual car awards).

“As more than 64,000 American LEAF owners will tell you, the economics of going electric are simple: Buy a Nissan LEAF and save money by conveniently charging at home instead of paying more at the gas pump,” said Fred Diaz, senior vice president, Nissan Sales & Marketing and Operations, U.S. “But the real beauty of the Nissan LEAF is that it’s roomy and, best of all, fun to drive, which is why it received this honor from the Good Housekeeping Research Institute.”

The LEAF SL, top of the LEAF line, comes standard with a quick charge port, leather-appointed seating, Nissan Navigation System with CARWINGS®,  HomeLink® Universal Transceiver, and 17” five-spoke aluminum-alloy wheels.

As for roominess, the LEAF is definitely that: 41.2” front head room, 37.3” rear head room, 42.1” front leg room, and 33.3” rear leg room kind of speaks for itself.

With the 2015 LEAF on the market and boasting the same features and additional enhancements, it’s not unlikely that it will repeat as the Good Housekeeping “Roomy Electric” vehicle of choice next year (when we will totally be aware of the fact that Good Housekeeping has car awards).
