Aoyama is an upscale district in Tokyo, and Lexus has opened two spaces to help promote the brand. The first is a gallery to promote Lexus vehicles, and the second is a space for “branding activities.”

At the Lexus International Gallery Aoyama, visitors can learn more about the Lexus vehicles and brand as a whole outside of the traditional dealership atmosphere. The public can examine each of the Lexus models, and English speaking sales staff can explain car ownership in Japan, as well as schedule test drives, provide driving tips, and help prospective drivers learn about the requirements for a Japanese driver’s license. Buyers who wish to purchase a car on the spot may also complete the transaction at the gallery.

Besides cars, the Lexus International Gallery Aoyama also offers products from the Lexus Collection. The space was designed to be in tune with the Japanese spirit of hospitality, or omotenashi, which includes soothing music and Lexus drinks.

The second space in Aoyama, called Intersect by Lexus, will also proudly display Lexus vehicles. This facility, however, is more focused on a visitor experience that happens to be enhanced by Lexus. For example, Intersect features a café with window screens that are made with bamboo in the shape of the Lexus signature grille. There’s also a coffee bar on site and art for sale from traditional Japanese artists. The space was also built to be used for workshops and seminars.
