“Like” This Honda ASIMO Video to Raise Money for Columbus’ Nationwide Children’s Hospital
After recently announcing a generous $1 million dollar donation to the Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, Honda said today that it will donate an additional $1 to the hospital for every “Like” or “Share” that social media users give to this new video of young hospital patients interacting with the Japanese automaker’s ASIMO robot.
On June 20, 2017, Honda donated $1 million to Nationwide Children’s Hospital to establish the all-new Honda Center for Gait Analysis and Mobility Enhancement. The Center’s mission is to provide innovative solutions for helping young patients overcome conditions that limit their mobility. The new center will also provide spine motion analysis, sports performance programs, and injury prevention programs. Furthermore, the Center will provide extensive research in prosthetic and wheelchair development.

In addition to that initial million-dollar commitment, Honda will be giving up to $50,000 to the Center for every “Like” or “Share” that the video above receives online.
The video was filmed during ASIMO’s recent visit to Nationwide Children’s, and documents 8-year-old patient Brynn Fraser’s brave struggle to overcome serious birth defects, and the unique opportunity he and his fellow patients had to meet Honda’s advanced robot.
“We hope everyone who sees this video will be inspired by the passion and determination of the doctors and staff at Nationwide Children’s Hospital,” said Jeffrey Smith, vice president of Corporate Communications for Honda North America. “When we saw these young patients’ positive reaction to Honda’s ASIMO, we wanted to create an opportunity for others to join us in supporting this new effort to help children with mobility issues.”
