Limited-Edition Dallas Cowboys F-150 Will Make Fans Forget about Tony Romo’s Injury
While Dallas Cowboys fans are surely disappointed that quarterback Tony Romo was injured during the preseason and will once again miss time this year, they might find solace knowing that a new Dallas Cowboy has come to The Lonestar State for the 2016 season.
No, the Cowboys didn’t sign or trade for a new star QB, but the Ford Motor Company has decided to reward its loyal customers in Texas with a new limited-edition Dallas Cowboys F-150. This new special-edition F-150 is based on the popular XLT model with Chrome package, which is the best-selling Ford truck in Texas.
Cowboys fans might notice this truck comes in the same shade of silver as the team’s helmets. In addition, a heavy-duty mat comes in the bed of the truck that includes the legendary Cowboys star logo. Other unique features consist of 20-inch chrome wheels with unique Cowboys center caps and special Cowboys edition badges in the front doors and tailgate, as well as blue and white striping that runs down the rocker panels, paying tribute to the over-the-top stripe that’s featured on the Cowboys helmet.
The Dallas Cowboys edition F-150 will only be sold at select dealerships in Texas and production will be limited to just 400 units. In addition, each of those trucks will come with a “1 of 400” Cowboys edition interior badge that has been autographed by Cowboys President Jerry Jones.
“Everyone in our organization is excited about the new Dallas Cowboys edition F-150,” said Jones. “Ford F-150 and the Dallas Cowboys are known worldwide for their rich heritages and long winning traditions. Our Cowboys fans are among the most passionate in all of sports. We are proud to partner with Ford and Texas Ford dealers to bring this Cowboys edition F-150 to our incredible fans. I think you will agree it is the ultimate truck for the ultimate Cowboys fan.”
