Ford Motor Company of Canada is reporting a 7.4% year-over-year dip in sales for February, but the month was not without its bright spots. In particular, Ford experienced strong demand for the entire Lincoln brand, the Transit Connect, the F-Series, and the 2015 F-150.

“We are seeing positive customer reaction to our recently launched vehicles and look forward to continuing the momentum when the all-new 2015 Ford Edge hits dealerships this spring,” said Dianne Craig, president and CEO, Ford of Canada.  “For Lincoln, we always expected it would take time to reinvent our luxury brand, but Canadians have quickly embraced the new Lincoln line-up resulting in strong sales.”

Lincoln sales were up 138% in February, with the MKC accounting for 151 units, MKX adding 123 units (up 24%), MKZ adding 101 units (up 74%), Navigator pitching in 34 units, MKT accounting for 25 units (up 79%), and MKS rounding out the lineup with 9 units (up 29%).

Transit Connect was up 239% year-over-year, perhaps benefitting from its status as the 2015 Canadian Black Book Best Retained Value Award-winner for the Compact Commercial Van segment.

F-Series and F-150 both achieved best-ever February sales with respective increases on 1% and 10% year-over-year. The 2015 F-150 was recently named the Truck of the Year for Canada by the Automobile Journalist Association of Canada (AJAC).
