New Lincoln MKZ debuts in Beijing

Lincoln has already surpassed its 2015 sales total in China with a mere six months’ worth of work, and with the launch of the all-new 2017 Lincoln MKZ last month, it is no doubt looking to increase its already-impressive sales in that market exponentially.

Lincoln launched the new MKZ in Beijing on July 2018 at a special event, showing off its sedan’s handsome looks and multitudinous new features.

“In the past two years, we have been relentlessly listening to Chinese customers, studying how they use their cars and transforming our learnings into product blueprints,” said Amy Marentic, president, Lincoln China. “The new Lincoln MKZ has evolved with dozens of upgrades inside and out. With consistent elegance, it has a more exquisite craftsmanship, a more effortless performance and more intuitive technologies. It will not only meet the general demands for a luxury vehicle, but also exceed customer expectations.”

The new MKZ is headed up by the brand’s new one-piece signature grille, which features a badge raised among a sea of Lincoln Stars, as well as new jeweled LED headlamps. On the inside, the MKZ features a new center console that offers three levels of storage space, as well as optional Wollsdorf leather from Austria.

Beneath the hood, the MKZ is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that generates 253 horsepower and 287 lb-ft of torque. It is also the first Lincoln vehicle offered in China with SYNC 3 and the MyLincoln Mobile App, which allows for remote locking or unlocking of the vehicle among other functions.

The Lincoln MKZ will be offered in four trims: Premiere, Select, Reserve, and Preferred. Prices for these models will start at RMB 284,800, RMB 304,800, RMB 332,800 and RMB 388,800, respectively.
