When Lincoln introduced the MKC to the small premium utility segment, the whispers about pricing immediately started. With luxury technologies, such as Approach Detection, and the first ever 2.4-liter EcoBoost engine, many expected the premium vehicle to come with a premium price tag—boy, were they wrong. While the Lincoln MKC pricing announced this week isn’t exactly a steal, the suggest retail price of $33,995 is beyond affordable, especially when you consider the standard features that the small premium utility comes with.

Set to go on sale next year, Lincoln’s first small premium utility model will be offered in three different trim levels: Premiere, Select, and Reserve. Each level will offer a variety of luxurious features, allowing owners to set the best trim level for their own needs.

“As the newest entrant in small premium utility, which is the fastest-growing luxury segment, we have to offer our clients a fresh compelling proposition,” said Matt VanDyke, Director of Global Lincoln. “The Lincoln MKC Offers the lowers base entry price in the segment as well as a host of first to segment features.”

Do you think the Lincoln MKC pricing is reasonable for the brand’s first small premium utility?
