Lincoln will serve as presenting sponsor for the third annual RUN10 FEED10 race series

Lincoln Motor Company will be acting as the presenting sponsor for the third annual RUN10 FEED10 race series. RUN10 FEED10, created by Women’s Health magazine, is a 10k race that works to combat domestic hunger in America and has delivered more than 2.5 million meals in its first two iterations.

“The concept is simple – run a 10K and provide 10 meals for those struggling with hunger in your community,” said Laura Frerer-Schmidt, vice president and publisher of Women’s Health. “The money from the registration and fundraising efforts will go to support the nearest metropolitan-area food bank.”

The first race in RUN10 FEED10 got underway in New York City on September 21, and the 2015 MKC served as the pace car. The MKC will also serve as the lead car for timed races in Chicago on October 19 and San Francisco on October 26, as well as at various fun run events in Atlanta (October 11), Boston (October 12), and Washington, D.C. (October 18).

Those looking to participate outside of the designated race areas can register on www.RUN10FEED10.com and then download the RUN10 FEED10 app to run their own 10K wherever they happen to be.

“The RUN10 FEED10 race series is a tremendous way for people to get involved in the fight against hunger, and Lincoln very much supports these types of community-based initiatives,” said Dave Rivers, manager, U.S. Lincoln marketing communications. “We’re proud to have our all-new Lincoln MKC leading the way for these dedicated individuals who are running for this outstanding cause.”
